Macb Live Bold Community Fund ready to help worthy causes

SCOTTISH soft drinks brand Macb has donated £6,000 to six organisations across Scotland this year, with the aim of helping communities enjoy healthier, happier lives.
And applications for its 2027 Live Bold Community Fund are open now on the Macb website for groups that make a real difference in their local area to apply for funding.
Among the organisations to benefit during 2026 was Grey Matters Active Ageing, a club for older people in Helensburgh. It used its Macb funding to take 50 members on a day trip to Loch Katrine and Callander.
Club founder Alison Gildae said: “The Macb funding gave our members the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic day out. Members enjoyed the cruise and, of course, their Macb Water. It was a brilliant day that brought our community together.”
East Glasgow Music School, which welcomes more than 100 attendees each week, used the donation it received to buy advanced musical equipment to support the training it provides. Meanwhile, Lewis Shinty Club bought new helmets and equipment to help players stay safe and perform at their best.
Ayrshire Deaf Club began as a youth club for deaf teenagers and now welcomes all ages. Its funding helped bring adults and children together for an end-of-term party, complete with a barbecue and party games.
Creative Smiles Collection, a children’s craft group in the Kirkcaldy area, stocked up on easels, paintbrushes and paint sets, giving young artists the materials they need to get creative in class.
Halfpenny Farm Animal Sanctuary in Aberdeen provides a safe home for animals at risk, with dedicated volunteers caring for its rescued residents. Funding from Macb helped the charity buy gardening tools and polytunnel equipment to grow fruit and vegetables, both to feed the animals and to sell locally to raise ongoing funds for the sanctuary.
Jamie Burnett, Macb interim brand manager, said: “We are proud to support organisations that have real impact in their communities and, once again, our Live Bold Fund recipients of 2026 have really inspired us. We care deeply about the people in the communities where we want to give back and make a positive difference.”
