S’wiching up with Terry’s chocolate in biscuits

BISCUITS manufacturer Fox’s Burton’s Companies (FBC) has brought together two staple British brands with the launch of Maryland S’wich Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
Marking the first time that Terry’s chocolate has been used in the sweet biscuits category, the new launch blends together Terry’s orange oil with Maryland’s signature, crunchy biscuits with chocolate in the middle to sandwich the two biscuits together to deliver a distinctive Terry’s chocolate orange-inspired flavour.
The new variant will be available exclusively to Tesco Group locations for a four-week period before rolling out more widely. Following this stint, the variant will roll out across major retailers and wholesalers from 12 August and will also be available in a price-marked format.
This also marks the latest flavour variant for the Maryland Cookies S’wich range which hit shelves for the first time in July 2025.
The new packs hit Tesco store shelves in July and will roll out more widely across this month with an RRP of £1.39 per 150g pack.
Jo Harwood, chief sales and trade marketing officer at FBC, said: “By partnering with Terry’s, Maryland is once again S’wiching up the biscuit aisle. The collaboration is designed to engage both existing fans and new consumers in the chocolate confectionery category, while creating meaningful opportunities to support category growth and sales performance.
“The launch is also expected to benefit from the seasonal association and pull that Terry’s has around Christmas following its initial launch period.”
My-Anh Bosquet, marketing director UK & Ireland at Terry’s Chocolate, said: “Terry’s is all about finding new ways to bring people joy, and teaming up with the UK’s number one small cookie brand is exactly that. Seeing our iconic orange flavour baked into the Maryland S’wich for our first-ever entry into the biscuit aisle is a genuine landmark for Terry’s.”
