Spar launches new home delivery platform Spar Dash

Spar gets out with a Dash across Scotland

Symbol group Spar Scotland has launched its exclusive home delivery platform Spar Dash powered by category juggernaut Snappy Shopper.

SYMBOL group Spar Scotland has unveiled its exclusive home delivery platform Spar Dash offering a convenient option for its local customers.

Powered by Snappy Shopper, the launch marks a new step in Spar Scotland’s ongoing commitment to making neighbourhood shopping more accessible and offers a more bespoke option to store locals. Additionally, Spar Scotland wholesaler CJ Lang & Son has noted it will bring the trusted Spar name to the home delivery category.

Colin McLean, chief executive at Spar Scotland, said: “Spar Dash represents an exciting new chapter for Spar Scotland. Our customers increasingly expect convenience that fits around their busy lifestyles, and this platform allows us to deliver exactly that while continuing to support our local communities through our company owned stores and our independent retailers.

“Whether it’s a weekly grocery top-up, a forgotten ingredient, or a freshly prepared hot meal and coffee, Spar Dash gives customers another convenient way to shop with their local Spar store.”

The Spar Dash app will allow customers to peruse thousands of everyday essential products, fresh food offers, household, meal solutions and make use of Spar’s range of hot food to go and freshly prepared drink including hot beverages.

The new home delivery service also make uses of the Snappy Shopper e-commerce platform as well meaning consumers that are already familiar with the home delivery service can transition easily over to the new platform and continue to order products from their local Spar store with ease.

Spar Dash will roll out to participating Spar locations over the coming months, with further stores being added to the delivery platform as it moves forward.
