Symbol group Spar Scotland has expanded on its partnership with the Healthy Living Programme with the roll-out of new dual-branded displays and POS materials.

SYMBOL group Spar Scotland has strengthened its partnership with the Healthy Living Programme (HLP) with the introduction of new dual-branded display stands and point-of-sale (POS) materials.

Rolling out across participating Spar Scotland stores, the new initiative looks to make healthier food and drink options more viable and accessible to consumers across the country and support them to make informed choices in their shops.

Colin McLean, chief executive at Spar Scotland, said: “Our partnership with the Healthy Living Programme has always been about making healthier choices easier for our customers.

“These new dual-branded Healthy Living stands, and point-of-sale materials are another important step in helping shoppers quickly identify healthier options while demonstrating how convenience retailers can positively influence purchasing decisions.”

The dual-branded stands and POS will prominently highlight healthier products across Spar stores and forms part of the symbol group’s commitment to creating healthier retail environments in stores while supporting the Scottish Government’s ambitions to improve Scottish shoppers’ diets and wellbeing.

This new launch also builds further on the strong relationship between Spar Scotland and HLP which has helped to deliver numerous community-focused initiatives over a number of years. This has included Welby Breakfast initiatives with Spar stores across Scotland, which recently saw the HLP team visit Shetland to work with Spar Sandwick.

The introduction of the new dual-branded displays represents the next stage in this partnership, says Spar Scotland, and will help to provide stores with dedicated merchandising solutions that make healthier choices more prominent throughout the customer’s shop.

Kathryn Neil, programme director at HLP, said: “Spar Scotland has been an outstanding partner in helping us bring healthier choices to communities across Scotland.

“The introduction of these dual-branded displays creates an engaging in-store environment that encourages healthier purchasing decisions while supporting retailers in promoting nutritious and affordable products. Together, we’re making healthy choices more visible, accessible and achievable for customers every day.”
