Mondelēz brings a jalapeño-inspired twist to Philadelphia

CREAM cheese brand Philadelphia has expanded on its range with the launch of its new Mexican Style variant.
A limited-edition flavour for the brand, Philadelphia Mexican Style features a combination of smooth Philadelphia cream cheese with a jalapeño-inspired taste to deliver a bold and spicy flavour to the category.
Available across grocery retailers from May, the launch will be supported by a creator-led campaign, including in-store activations and social media activity to help drive up consumer awareness and engagement with the brand.
Each Philadelphia Mexican Style comes in a 165g pack with an RRP of £2.25 each.
Beth Wiliams, brand manager for parent firm Mondelēz International, said: “With demand for bold and exciting flavours continuing to grow, we’re delighted to introduce Philadelphia Mexican Style to the range.
“We’ve seen a clear shift in consumer appetite towards spicy and world-inspired flavours, particularly among younger shoppers, and this launch is designed to meet that demand in a way that feels both exciting and fresh.
“By combining the creamy taste consumers know and love with a subtle jalapeño heat, Philadelphia Mexican Style offers a balanced flavour profile that works across a variety of occasions, from everyday meals to more adventurous snacking.
“As a limited-edition launch, it also gives retailers a strong opportunity to drive trial, recruit new shoppers into the category and add a point of difference on shelf.”
