The iconic cocktail serve the Aperol Spritz has rolled out into a canned format for the first time as Campari Group introduces its Aperol Sprits To Go cans.

SPIRITS firm Campari Group has brought the iconic cocktail serve Aperol Spritz to a canned format for the first time.

The new Aperol Spritz To Go cans brings the serve to the ready-to-drink (RTD) category in a new way, providing shoppers with a simple and convenient format to enjoy the serve and tap into the growing demand with the UK’s RTD segment.

Campari has said the new launch aims to drive up incremental value across the category in the UK by attracting both new customers and existing brand loyalists through the popularity of the Aperol Spritz serve.

Available now across convenience, grocery and wholesale channels, the launch looks to tap into the growing demand for more premium, recognisable canned cocktail serves across the RTD sector and deliver a high-impact addition for retailers’ off-trade fixtures.

Each Aperol Spritz To Go can comes in a 250ml slimline format with an ABV of 5% per can whilst retaining the serve’s core mix of Aperol, sparkling wine and soda.

Andrea Neri, managing director of House of Aperitifs at Campari Group, said: “Aperol Spritz has become a symbol of contemporary social style, and this new ready-to-drink format opens the door to new moments and places while staying true to the spirit that has defined Aperol for over a century.

“We are proud to bring that Aperol DNA and premium quality with the launch of the new format, heralding a new era for our beloved brand.

“As distribution builds, we’ll be working closely with our retail partners to drive visibility and rate of sale, particularly across key seasonal peaks where they can capitalise on the ongoing premiumisation of the category.”
