The Scottish Grocer Awards 2026 is now open for entries, be sure to get yours in before the deadline of 22 May to be in with the chance of winning.

ARE you ready to shine as one of Scotland’s star retailers? Have you put time and effort into developing a key category within your store?

Perhaps you have staff worth celebrating, or do you go above and beyond in the local community?

If so, then we want to hear from you – because entries are open for the Scottish Grocer Awards 2026, celebrating the nation’s outstanding convenience channel.

This year’s programme has been designed to reward the hard graft, innovative thinking, clever category management and attention to detail across the sector.

The Scottish Grocer Awards exist to recognise excellence and provide entrepreneurs with a platform to celebrate their success.

And the process for entering the awards is simple.

All you have to do is head to our dedicated webpage check out the criteria and come up with answers to the questions posed for the category or categories you wish to enter.

Each store may bid to win up to three awards. So, think carefully about which honours you want to seek recognition for and please include relevant background information.

Images are also always welcome and can help paint a picture of your store at the shortlisting stage before Scottish Grocer judges hit the road this summer.

Your online submissions must be made by Friday, 22 May, 2026.

And there are plenty of opportunities to win, with a broad array of awards that highlight the strengths of the convenience channel in Scotland and the diverse categories that retailers offer consumers.

Among the gongs up for grabs are Best Soft Drinks Retailer of the Year, Licensed Retailer of the Year, Smokeless Alternatives Retailer of the Year and Tobacco Retailer of the Year.

The sector’s best retailers from across the breadth of Scotland will be celebrated during a glittering ceremony on 4 November.

Or perhaps you fancy entering for Symbol Store of the Year, with prizes for both single and multiple stores, or Independent Retailer of the Year. There are also awards for Best New Store of the Year and Sustainability Champion.

The Community Retailer of the Year will once again be split into city and rural winners.

And new for this year will be the Forecourt Retailer of the Year category.

And, of course, the ceremony, which will take place at the Hilton Glasgow on 4 November, will conclude with the two big honours – the Entrepreneur Award and the Industry Achievement Award.

Each year, the Scottish Grocer Awards welcome new winners and familiar faces, providing the industry’s leading lights with a fantastic networking opportunity, as well as a glittering night to remember.
