NUTS snacking brand Forest Feast has unveiled its new Matcha Chocolate Almonds packs, tapping into the demand for more permissible treats.

The new 120g pack format features a uniquely indulgent snack with enrobed, handcrafted almonds in velvety white chocolate that has been blended with high quality matcha from PerfectTed – the UK’s leading matcha brand.

The result delivers a uniquely crunchy and moreish snack with a creamy chocolate outer and distinct matcha taste profile.

Forest Feast Matcha Chocolate Almonds will launch across Sainbury’s stores from 4 April, following by Boots from May with an RRP of £3.95. Additionally, a 40g pack variant will roll out in Tesco stores from 18 May with an RRP of £1.45.

The launch will be supported with a pop-up event in London as well as in-store media to draw consumers’ attention to the new product along with consumer press, sampling opportunities and a presence across social media.

Leona McCaugherty, head of marketing at Forest Feast, said: “We are always on the lookout for opportunities to translate cultural trends into crave-worthy innovation. With matcha becoming one of the fastest-growing flavour trends, it felt like an exciting territory to explore and an opportunity to reach and excite younger consumers, particularly as data shows as many as 40% are replacing tea or coffee with the viral sensation.”
