Lyle’s Golden Syrup swirls into ice cream variants

HERITAGE brand Lyle’s Golden Syrup has announced the launch of its first ever ice cream variants as the brand looks to capitalise on the demand for frozen products.
The new Lyle Golden Syrup Ice Cream variants will roll into Iceland stores for an exclusive period starting on 24 March with the Lyle’s Golden Syrup Ice Cream with Gooey Syrup Swirls.
The new variant will be available in 500g tubs with an RRP of £4.75. In addition to the Gooey Syrup Swirls variant, Lyle’s has also confirmed that a Ice Cream with Honeycomb Pieces option will hit store shelves later this year.
Each recipe has been crafted using fresh British milk, rich double cream and is sweetened with generous ripples of Lyle’s Golden Syrup throughout. There are no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
The innovation sees the Lyle’s brand expand beyond its traditional baking and syrups roots into the ice cream sector for the first time. Lyle’s has also said the variants can be served on their own or in addition to desserts to highlight the versatility of the range.
Olivia Haley, brand manager at Lyle’s, said: “This launch taps into two big ice cream trends for 2026: British dessert flavours and comforting nostalgia.
“Lyle’s is synonymous with moments of indulgence. We know classic flavours dominate consumer preferences in ice cream, especially among our modern family audience.
“Our Golden Syrup is reminiscent of childhood treats, yet it’s a unique flavour in ice cream today. We’re bringing this spirit of innovation to the category.”
