Yorkie unveils new Salted Caramel Pretzel bar

Indulgent combination for new limited edition launch

Classic chocolate bar brand Yorkie has unveiled its new limited edition Salted Caramel Pretzel variant as the brand celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

NESTLÉ Confectionery has introduced a new limited edition variant for its Yorkie range with the new Salted Caramel Pretzel flavour.

Available across stores shelves in the UK and Ireland now, the new Yorkie Salted Caramel Pretzel combines the solid milk chocolate chunks of a Yorkie bar with a salted caramel flavour with crunchy pretzel pieces throughout to deliver a multi-textured new bar from the brand.

Nestlé reckons the new chocolate bar will be a popular choice for those shoppers seeking a salty and sweet flavour combination with an added level of texture from the Yorkie range.

Yorkie as a brand was first launch in 1976 by Rowntree Mackintosh meaning it is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Yorkie has remained a firm favourite over its 50 years on the shelves and is still made in Nestlé’s York factory.

Like the rest of the Yorkie range, the new Salted Caramel Pretzel bar contains now artificial flavours or colours and is made using milk from First Milk farmers in southwest Scotland and uses Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa.

Rachel Beaufoy, marketing manager at Nestlé Confectionery, said: “We know that Yorkie fans love a chocolate bar with substance, and the new Yorkie Salted Caramel Pretzel Duo delivers just that.

“The combination of smooth caramel flavour milk chocolate and crunchy pretzel pieces brings extra texture to the bar while staying true to the brand’s chunky format. We’re really looking forward to hearing what people make of it!”
