Tango brings refreshment with an added sour twist

SOFT drinks brand Tango is set to bring an extra tangy twist to its range with the launch of the Tango Sours selection.
The bold zero-sugar range comes in two flavours – Watermelon and Tropical – that deliver the refreshment of the Tango brand with an additional sour element to appeal to younger consumers who are looking for more adventurous options from the soft drinks range.
Parent firm Carlsberg Britvic has said that the two flavours will be well-placed to match demands from younger consumers with the two already popular soft drinks choices here in the UK, according to Nielsen data.
Tango Sours will come in two key pack formats including a four pack of 330ml cans at £4.09 RRP as well as 1.5 litre bottles with an RRP of £3.35. Additionally, a 500ml bottle will join the line from May with an RRP of £2.39.
The launch will also be supported by a social media campaign as well as in-store and in-depot activations.
David Laidler, brand director of carbonates at Carlsberg Britvic, said: “Tango has always been known for its bold personality – and we’re dialling that up with this latest launch.
“When we developed Tango Sours, we wanted a drink range that delivered on both standout visuals and intense flavour. With its striking design and punchy sour hit, the range is built to disrupt the fixture and command real attention on shelf.
