Killearn Co-op back in business after eight-week refit

RETAIL chain Co-op has relaunched its store in the village of Killearn, Stirlingshire, following an eight-week investment programme to “transform” the shop.
Situated on Main Street, the outlet supports 14 local jobs and opens daily from 7am to 10pm.
The enhanced shopping experience includes Costa Coffee Express, a bakery and an extensive range and choice of fresh and healthy products, says Co-op.
These sit alongside Co-op’s meal deals and food to go, Fairtrade products, ready meals, fresh meats and dairy, chilled beers and wines, and everyday essentials.
Parcel collection services are available in store through Amazon and DPD, with the addition of a new InPost Locker.
There are offers, deals and promotions throughout the store, while Co-op members can benefit from additional price savings. Creating further value, Young Scot cardholders receive a discount in store off their groceries.

Soft plastic recycling is available in store – making it easier for shoppers to return and recycle materials that are often not universally accepted via kerbside recycling, such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and pet food pouches.
Earlier this year, in a UK convenience retailer first, Co-op launched new own-brand GLP-1 friendly meals, specially developed for shoppers with smaller appetites, as part of Co-op’s new “Good Fuel” health range offer.
Co-op’s Killearn store is one of 18 stores the group confirmed it would open in the first three months of 2026, these are either brand new stores or stores relaunching after transformative investment.
Peter Palmer, Co-op area manager, said: “We’re delighted to invest in Killearn, the store has been transformed with a great new look.
“We’re focused on backing high streets and communities, creating stores that are a hub locally and contribute to local life – conveniently meeting the needs of their community.
“The store has a focus on offering quality products, value and choice that can be enjoyed by everyone, along with a range of added services including coffee, bakery and parcel collection services.
“We’re here to contribute to local life and conveniently serve and support our community.”
