Chocolate products firm Ferrero UK has unveiled its new Kinder Bueno Dark chocolate bar, aiming to match demand for dark chocolate in the category.

CHOCOLATE products firm Ferrero UK has expanded on its Kinder Bueno range with the launch of the new Kinder Bueno Dark.

The new addition aims to capitalise on the consumer demand for dark chocolate variants and broaden the appeal of the Bueno brand with shoppers.

Available on shelves now, the new Kinder Bueno Dark introduces a more “intense cocoa taste” to the popular Kinder Bueno range says Ferrero whilst maintaining the taste and texture shoppers know and love.

The launch also builds on the strong performance that the Kinder Bueno brand has enjoyed as of late within the ‘chocolate snack’ category where the brand sat at a worth of £89million, according to Nielsen data covering the week ending 16 August 2025.

Ferrero said the new Kinder Bueno Dark has been designed to attract more consumers to the dark chocolate segment by combining the brand’s crispy wafer and smooth hazelnut filling and covering it in a dark chocolate shell with a dark chocolate drizzle.

Andrea Longobardi, marketing director at Ferrero, said: ““Dark chocolate continues to resonate with young adult shoppers, particularly those seeking a more premium taste within confectionery.

“Kinder Bueno Dark expands and strengthens the existing range, giving retailers a genuine opportunity to boost sales and increase basket spend by introducing something new from a well-loved and trusted brand.”
