PayPoint delivers new TikTok voucher scheme

PAYMENT services firm PayPoint has announced a major partnership with social media TikTok to launch a new digital voucher scheme for its network of retailers.
Customers will now be able to purchase TikTok LIVE digital vouchers in-store, with fixed denominations of £15, £35 and £50. Each voucher will be issued as a pin code printed directly onto the customer’s receipt to then be redeemed for ‘TikTok Coins’.
These Coins can then be used to send virtual gifts to creators on the social media website and promote certain videos on TikTok LIVE. Since launch, TikTok LIVE has become a powerful engine for discovery commerce, allowing creators and businesses to engage with audiences in real time.
This marks the latest voucher expansion for PayPoint after the firm announced its new partnership with Epic Games’ massive gaming success Fortnite.
Shoppers will be able to purchase these vouchers from one of the 30,000 retailers which offer PayPoint services in-store and boost up their sales in the process as well, in turn increasing their revenue through commission and cross-selling within other services and goods.
Jo Toolan, managing director for payments at PayPoint, said: “TikTok has become one of the most influential content platforms in the UK, and we’re delighted to be launching TikTok LIVE digital vouchers across our retail network.
“This new offering gives TikTok users even more ways to support their favourite creators through TikTok LIVE. It also gives our retailers another high-profile brand to drive footfall, increase spontaneous purchases and offer customers even greater choice in how they pay and gift.”
