KP Snacks crisps brand Skips has brought back its zingy Salt & Vinegar variant after an absence from store shelves for a decade now.

SNACKS giant KP Snacks has announced the return of its Skips Salt & Vinegar variant, expanding the brand’s portfolio with a well-loved core flavour.

The product will hit store shelves from the beginning of March in a 35g Grab Bag format as well as a £1.35 price-marked pack format after being absent for a decade.

Whilst Skips is best known for its Prawn Cocktail flavour crisps, the launch of a Salt & Vinegar variant sees the brand tap into the demand for more classic flavours across the crisps, snacks & nuts category, with the Salt & Vinegar flavour representing the fourth biggest partition in the selection.

The latest addition for Skips offers a satisfying and zingy flavour while also delivering on its iconic light and melty texture that consumers have come to expect from the brand.

The return of the Salt & Vinegar flavour to the Skips range comes after strong consumer demand, says KP, and aims to capitalise on the growth of food to go missions across convenience stores by engaging with shoppers and, therefore, driving up retailers’ sales.

John McDougall, senior brand manager for Skips at KP Snacks, said: “Skips is a classic and iconic brand in CSN and we are excited to be extending our flavour lineup with the return of a tongue-tingling Salt & Vinegar variant.

“Bringing back Salt & Vinegar helps us to build on the brand’s strong heritage while driving momentum and attracting new customers.

“With Salt & Vinegar remaining one of the most in-demand flavours in the category and 70% of Bagged Snacks sales coming from impulse purchases, launching the product in Grab Bag and PMP format will help to bolster retailer sales.”
