Supporting local nurseries during the Christmas season

LEADING Scottish convenience retailer KeyStore has encouraged its customers to support local children’s nurseries by donating Christmas selection boxes.
As part of this initiative, Mondelēz International has donated a range of Cadbury Selection Boxes to retailers supporting nurseries in their local areas. Edith Smyth, owner of KeyStore Lochfield in Paisley, was among the first to get involved in the giving spirit by handing over the treats to Todholm Nursery (pictured).
Edith, who co-owns the store with Avril Cole, is a prolific supporter of local charities and good causes. She said: “Todholm Nursery is just along the road from the store and it’s great to see big smiles on little faces at such an exciting time of year for these young children. Many of them come into the store with their parents so we know them and want them to have an amazing Christmas.
“This is a great festive campaign from KeyStore and we’re more than happy to support it – it’s good for business as well as the nursery and kids who receive a selection box, particularly as nurseries to do not receive the same financial support as primary and secondary schools.”
Craig Brown, chief sales and marketing officer at KeyStore symbol owner JW Filshill, said: “We’ve been running our Christmas selection boxes campaign for a few years now and it’s great that even more of our customers are supporting it.
“As Edith explains, it’s another string to a KeyStore retailer’s bow when it comes to supporting local good causes and placing your store at the very heart of your community.
“Getting behind a campaign like this helps build long-term customer loyalty and reaps rewards for your business in terms of additional sales and footfall.
“We are also grateful to our supplier MondelÄ“z for once again getting behind this campaign and supplying all the Cadbury’s selection boxes.”
