Responding to customer demand for McCoy’s PMPs

SAVOURY snacks giant KP Snacks has introduced its McCoy’s Salted variant to £1.25 PMP format to match consumer demands.
The new product completes McCoy’s PMP flavour line-up, the firm said, and responds directly to consumer demands with ‘Salted’ representing the number one flavour partition in crisps, snacks and nuts (CSN), according to KP. The McCoy’s Salted £1.25 PMP will roll out from 26 January.
The launch capitalises on the strength of the McCoy’s PMP portfolio, which is one of the top three CSN brands in PMP says the firm, with its range growing at 11.1% in sales. The new McCoy’s Salted PMP continues to support growth by introducing popular flavour demands alongside established favourites including McCoy’s Flame Grilled Steak, Salt & Malt Vinegar and Thai Sweet Chicken.
By introducing the new McCoy’s Salted PMP, KP said it will tap into the rising demand for the format.
Stuart Graham, head of convenience & independents and value channels at KP Snacks, said: “We’re excited to launch McCoy’s Salted £1.35 PMP, expanding our PMP range which continues to show strong growth and holds a massive 37% share of the segment.
“By tapping into both the popularity of PMP formats and the continued demand for classic, core flavours, with ‘Salted’ still the number one flavour partition in the category, the new launch is well-positioned to help retailers maximise their Bagged Snacks sales.”
