Fruity liqueur rolls out alongside revamped Christmas Gin

GIN distiller Edinburgh Gin has introduced a new addition to its festive line-up with the new Black Forest Gateau Liqueur along with a revamp of its Christmas Gin product.
The new 20% liqueur gin fuses the brand’s Classic Gin with rich, dark berries to deliver a sweet, tangy profile reminiscent of the iconic Black Forest Gateau.

Available in time for the festive season across Tesco stores, the liqueur aims to tap into the consumer trend for lower-alcohol options in the off-trade, seasonal indulgence and nostalgic flavours.
Also new for the festive season, Edinburgh Gin’s Christmas Gin variant has received an update across its packaging. The festive spirit offers consumers a blend of nutmeg, cinnamon and clove for a warm, spiced base that is followed up with gentle citrus notes of clementine and mandarin peel.
The two new launches aim to build on the rising demand for Edinburgh Gin London Dry gin variants, which saw its value sales surpass £2million in 2024 and all three of its leading SKUs, including the Christmas Gin, outperformed in the total London Dry gin category, according to Nielsen data.
Ella Christie-McCord, brand manager at Edinburgh Gin, said: “Christmas is a key sales period for liqueurs, and our new Black Forest flavour hits all the right notes in flavour and ABV.
“Combining nostalgic flavour with a contemporary edge, it offers a taste profile that feels both familiar and fresh, making it the perfect pick for celebrations or as a thoughtful Christmas gift.”
