GLASGOW wholesaler JW Filshill has been ranked the Best in Class among UK wholesalers for the 15th year in a row.

The wholesaler has been ranked Best in Class among UK wholesalers and convenience symbol groups for the 15th year in succession in an independent survey conducted by the respected global organisation, The Advantage Group.

Chris Miller, Glasgow-based Filshill’s chief commercial officer, said: “The survey placed us in the top tier – which reaffirms that our strategy, over many years, of working in partnership with our suppliers by collaborating with them, sharing information and making them part of our success story, is the right one.

“Sharing the insight and data we gather from our advanced supply chain technology with our suppliers and always having an open and honest dialogue with them is the only way to achieve mutual growth and profitability.

“Working together to identify key growth areas contributes to successful new product development which, in turn, benefits our customers.”

The 2025 survey asked suppliers UK-wide to rate a defined set of wholesalers and symbol groups across several categories – ranging from category and businesses development and ease of doing business, to supply chain management and execution of promotional and marketing plans.

The Advantage Group’s survey, which was conducted between January and March, also asked suppliers to mark Filshill and the KeyStore estate on their approach to sustainability, partnership, vision and reputation.

Whilst the survey was conducted anonymously, one supplier who contributed commented: “From our perspective, JW Filshill should focus on continuing the collaboration and exploring opportunities like data and category development as the next steps.

“Unlocking these opportunities would be beneficial. Overall, the relationship with them is in a very good place.”

Meanwhile, Filshill has also seen some recent success at The Grocer Gold Awards where the wholesaler picked up the Regional Wholesaler of the Year gong, marking the second time Filshill has won the award in the last three years. The firm previously won the same award in 2022.

Craig Brown, chief sales and marketing officer at Filshill, said: “This honour is testament to the hard work, resilience and innovation of our entire team – from our dedicated staff and loyal customers, to our brilliant suppliers.

“Despite wider industry challenges, we’ve continued to evolve, invest in technology and build strong relationships that help convenience thrive.”
