Royal Family marks 90th birthday of Sir Anwar Pervez

FOUNDER of the Bestway Group Sir Anwar Pervez was invited to join Their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla at the Royal Box at the Royal Ascot Races.
Sir Anwar joined Their Majesties on 20 June 2025 to mark the Bestway founder’s 90th birthday and honoured his contributions to British society over the course of his 60-year career.
This included Sir Anwar’s long history of supporting businesses and charitable endeavours which has seen the Bestway founder encourage entrepreneurship and furthering dynamism within marginalised communities across the UK.
The Bestway Foundation – the charitable trust Sir Anwar founded in 1987 – has had a long association of working with Royal Charities including the likes of the British Asian Trust, the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Pakistan Recovery Fund and the Princes Trust.
Every year, Bestway Group hosts its charity race day at the Royal Ascot and this year’s main beneficiary was the British Asian Trust.
The British Asian Trust – which was founded in 2007 by His Majesty King Charles III – works to support and champion the development of communities in South Asia and seeks to create areas that are free from poverty.
This marks part of Sir Anwar’s landmark birthday celebrations after he was invited to UK Parliament by MPs who commented on their personal experiences with the entrepreneur and gave thanks for his contributions to British society.
