Tempting consumers with a new selection from Nestlé

CONFECTIONERY giant Nestlé has unveiled a new range of biscuit bar treats across its popular KitKat and Blue Riband brands.
First up if the new KitKat Chunky Funky which features a crispy coca wafer wrapped up in a luscious swirl of milk chocolate and white coating.
Rolling out from this week, consumers will be able to find this limited edition KitKat treat in stores nationwide and add an extra indulgence to their summer.
And the KitKat Chunky Funky isn’t the only new arrival for the brand as Nestlé has also introduced the new KitKat Chunky Duo Salted Caramel.
Nestlé says this new development will take “indulgent treats to the next level” with a duo bar that features the classic KitKat crispy wafer topped with a rich layer of salted caramel filling, all of which is wrapped in a smooth chocolate coating.
Both the new KitKat products have been crafted using cocoa from Nestlé’s income accelerator programme which aims to support cocoa farming families to earn more money, plant more trees and help to get more kids into school.
This marks the latest NPD for the KitKat brand which has seen a burst of activity so far this year from Nestlé including the launch of KitKat Nescafé Mocha flavour as well as the brand’s new Sharing Bars range.
Rida Ahmed, KitKat assistant brand manager, said: “This year we’ve introduced some amazing new products with our eye-catching, marbled swirls thanks to the brilliant minds at our research and development centre in York.
“KitKat Chunky has a fresh look while keeping the delicious crispy wafer and KitKat chocolate that our fans adore. It’s such a fun product, and we can’t wait to see how shoppers react.
On top of the new launches for the KitKat brand, the confectionery giant has also introduced its new Blue Riband Vanilla. Building on the demand for more white chocolate variants, this piece of NPD from Blue Riband mixes a smooth vanilla filling with light wafer in a white chocolate coating.
Further to this, the new Blue Riband Vanilla comes in at 83 calories per bar, offering consumers a more permissible sweet treat.
