Skincare brand Hawaiian Tropic has added a new 50SPF Face Cream and After Sun Nourishing Oil to its range in time for the peak summer months.

SKINCARE brand Hawaiian Tropic has launched two new products in time for the peak summer months.

Aiming to capitalise on the sunnier weather to come, whether this be at home or abroad, the brand has rolled out its new Glowing Protection Face Cream SPF 50 as well as a Hydrating After Sun Skin Nourishing Oil.

The new Hawaiian Tropic Glowing Protection Face Cream SPF 50 has been dermatologically tested, is vegan and oil-free and offers a nourishing moisturiser that can help protect against the sun across all skin tones.

Ideal for daily use, the new face cream is packed with skin-loving ingredients like Shea Butter and Vitamin E to help build in extra sun defence. Each pack comes with an RRP of £13.59.

Meanwhile, the Hydrating After Sun Skin Nourishing Oil provides consumers with a lightweight, fast-absorbing mist to provide a hydrating experience for the skin.

Blending oil from avocado and the jojoba plants with Vitamin E, the after sun helps to soften the skin to help preserve a sun tan. Each bottle comes with an RRP of £14.

Parent firm Edgewell Personal Care reckons the new additions will be well placed to capture extra sales from the growing UK sun care market. According to Circana data, this market is currently worth £438.9million with a year-on-year growth of 3.6%, highlighting the increasing demand for the category.

Yet despite this, Edgewell has noted a considerable lack of the population make use of proper after sun care. This comes from Kantar and Mintel data which found that around 72% of UK adults use sun protection, but only 11% say they use an after sun product – providing a key opportunity for growth within the sector.

Edgewell reckons these two NPD from Hawaiian Tropic will be ideal to match this demand and ensure more UK consumers are caring properly for their skin this summer.

These new products also follow swiftly on from the expansion of Edgewell’s men skincare brand Bulldog Skincare which also added a new 50SPF UV Moisturiser cream to its range.
