Locker services provide collection convenience

POSTAL services firm InPost has teamed up with ASOS in a major next step forward for the two companies.
Through this new collaboration, ASOS customers will be able to select next-day collection for their orders for the first time by making use of InPost’s extensive network across the UK.
David Flavell, director of delivery solutions at ASOS, said: “We know that customers come to ASOS for the latest fashion when they want it.
“Adding InPost’s extensive network of over 16,000 lockers and parcel shops to our offering, with a next day delivery offer, gives customers even more choice and convenience in how they get the fashion they love.
“We’re delighted to have InPost as our exclusive locker partner.”
The new move aims to offer further speed, flexibility and convenience for shoppers of the e-commerce fashion brand. The service is also free of charge for ASOS Premier customers.
The launch follows on from a series of strategic moves from InPost as the firm aims to accelerate its growth in the UK. Part of this saw the firm acquire parcel delivery company Yodel, which significantly expanded its capabilities and enabled the firm to become the third-largest agnostic logistics player in the country.
Now, this new partnership aims to further cement the postal services firm as a leader in the market by delivering convenient, reliable and efficient e-commerce logistics to its consumer base across the UK.
Neil Kuschel, UK chief executive at InPost, said: “This launch is a game changer for out-of-home delivery in the UK.
“By introducing the first nationwide next-day locker service, we’re setting a new standard for delivery.
“ASOS is the perfect partner to launch with – a brand that shares our commitment to innovation and putting customers first.”
