Permissible hot chocolate options with value

COFFEE pods brand Tassimo has reformulated its Cadbury Hot Chocolate range to make the variants compliant with English HFSS rules.
The Tassimo Cadbury Original Hot Chocolate, Caramel Hot Chocolate and Orange Hot Chocolate variants are all now HFSS compliant, offering consumers a more permissible option for hot chocolate drinks.
In addition to this, the Tassimo Costa Caramel Latte and Tassimo L’Or Caramel Latte Macchiato coffee drinks are also HFSS compliant now.
Consumers trials were conducted with the updated Cadbury variants and found that most shoppers said the products provided a greater “chocolate intensity” despite the range containing 60% less sugar and 14% less fat per cup than before.
The Tassimo Cadbury Hot Chocolate range will now also be available in packs of 10 pods, offering consumers two additional pods per pack for added value, at an RRP of £5.30 per pack.
Maria Kabalyk, head of category and shoppers at JDE Peet’s UK&I, said: “We are proud to announce that our range of Tassimo Cadbury pods are now HFSS compliant to align with JDE Peets’ Nutritional Programme.
“We are committed to delivering innovative, high-quality and sustainable products that can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.”
