FROZEN fish brand Young’s Seafood has expanded on its Chip Shop range of products with its new Extra Large Haddock fillets.

Aiming to target consumers who are looking to replicate their favourite takeaways at home, the new Extra Large Haddock comes in the brand’s signature crispy bubbly batter and are ideal to serve alongside chips and mushy peas to make them a convenient way for shoppers to enjoy a classic British dinner.

Young’s Chip Shop Extra Large Haddock comes in a 300g box and includes two fillets or fish with an RRP of £4 and is available across Iceland stores now before rolling out across wider retail destinations.

Young’s believes this new addition will provide even greater variety for shoppers looking to create a fakeaway option for their evening meal and joins the Chip Shop Extra Large Cod in freezers, allowing for shoppers to choose between the two most popular fish on takeaway menus in the UK.

Matthew Wilson, interim marketing controller at Young’s, said: “We understand that today’s shoppers are looking for larger, more satisfying fillets that truly rival the quality and portion size of a traditional fish and chip takeaway.

“That’s why we’ve expanded our range with the new Chip Shop Extra Large Haddock Fillets, bringing the same succulent fish and signature bubbly batter that our customers love, now in an even more generous portion.

“Haddock has traditionally over-indexed in Scotland and the North of England compared to the national average for battered fish sales, but we’re seeing demand grow across the UK.

“With more people opting for bigger fillets, now is the ideal time to introduce our Extra Large Haddock, giving customers even more choice alongside our bestsellers.”
