Branston rolls out new potato brand in time for Burns
MAJOR potato supplier Branston has launched its new brand – namely Nanna Tate Potatoes.
The new range officially launched on 30 December across Tesco stores with its packs of Fresh Potatoes, with an RRP of £2 per bag. This will also be swiftly followed with the roll out of the Nanna Tate Prepared Potato products range from February, offering shoppers a more convenient option for their dinners.
Branston said the new Nanna Tate range will build on the firm’s 50-plus years of potato expertise and will add a modern twist while tapping into the enduring love that so many British consumers have for potatoes, and could help make up plenty of Burns Suppers this year.
A spokesperson for Nanna Tate said: “Nanna Tate is a stand-out new potato brand with a focus in recreating the nostalgia evoked by the very best potato dishes, while adding a delicious modern twist. It’s about rediscovering something you always loved.
“Nanna Tate potatoes are carefully selected to create the creamiest mash, fluffiest roasties and crispiest chips every time, helping to make tates the star of the plate.”
Further to this, the potato supplier said the packaging across the Nanna Tate range will help ensure it stands out on shelves, with the potatoes themselves designed to be versatile to match different meals such as mash, roast potatoes or as chips.
Lucia Washbrook, sales and marketing director at Nanna Tate, said: “Nanna Tate is unapologetically bold and sassy and will challenge the norm, encouraging people to rethink their assumptions when it comes to potatoes. So get ready to ‘unexpect the expected’ as our Nanna Tate products hit the shelves.
“Nanna Tate aims to inspire modern mealtimes, bringing people together round the table to make new happy memories. So that’s where our potato expertise comes in – making potatoes the star of the show so people can enjoy those moments in the here and now.”
