- TENNENT’S
It’s fair to say that, for many Scottish consumers, Tennent’s Lager is synonymous with the nation’s great sporting occasions. And as an original supporter of Scotland’s national football team, Tennent’s made the most of this as it celebrated a special summer of sport for fans who were following the Euros on home soil.
All eyes were on the national team at the tournament hosted by Germany and this is one of many reasons why the Glasgow-made beer has once again topped the Kantar league table for off-trade sales in Scotland.
Anticipation is also building for 2025 for the brand as next year will see it celebrate 140 years of producing Tennent’s.

This year sees Whyte & Mackay blended Scotch whisky claim second place in the top 10 Scottish off-trade brands north of the border, according to the Kantar data.
3. THE FAMOUS GROUSE
The team behind The Famous Grouse believe the blended Scotch whisky’s global campaign,
“Full of Character”, launched last Christmas, is playing a large part in the brand’s continuing popularity.
4. GLEN’S VODKA
Alongside its flagship products, Glen’s Vodka has developed a successful line of RTDs that it says have proved highly popular. And these drinks, coupled with some major sporting partnerships and marketing campaigns, have resulted in record levels of success for the brand, claim chiefs at Loch Lomond Group, the firm behind Glen’s Vodka.
The RTD range consists of pre-mixed Glen’s Vodka with Pink Lemonade and Glen’s Vodka with Cola. Glen’s says the drinks have refreshing flavours and are ideal for consumers looking for a convenient, quality option for on-the-go enjoyment or casual gatherings.
Glen’s has also forged long-term, rewarding partnerships with the Scottish Professional Football League and the British Rugby Super League, that have helped to elevate brand awareness.
