Over the Moo launches crowdfund project

Tranche of nationwide listings for plant-based brand

Plant-based ice cream bites brand Over the Moo has launched a new crowd funding campaign in a bid to expand the brand’s presence across the UK market.

ICE cream sharing bites brand Over the Moo has launched a new crowd funding initiative in a bid to spread out its presence across the confectionery market.

Just 18 months after launching, the team at Over the Moo has managed to establish the brand in 300 stores across the UK with its three-strong range of coconut milk ice cream bites, which consists of Caramel, Vanilla and, most recently, Chocolate.

At under 30 calories per bite, the healthier living offer from Over the Moo aims to make to drive up sales with consumers seeking a better snacking option or have dietary restrictions such as lactose-intolerance.

The brand now seeks to spread out its presence across the market and grow beyond its initial impressive 300 stores in the UK. To do so, Simon Goodman, founder of Over the Moo, has taken to community funding platform Crowdcube to assist the brand in growing its presence across the UK.

The brand has estimated that, if successful, Over the Moo will be able to spread out to as many as 1,388 stores, and launch an online store too.

The CrowdCube link can be accessed here for anyone wishing to support this project.

Goodman said: “Having spent our formative months bedding down a significant wholesaler network to meet our short-term indie store and foodservice aspirations, adding a much requested chocolate bite offering to our offer, enhancing our on-pack branding whilst expanding our image library.

“The focus for these funds will be to advance our B-Corporation aspirations whilst prioritising meaningful marketing support for the next tranche of nationwide listings we’ll be disclosing over the next few weeks.”
