Award to open doors for English sparkling wine brand
ENGLISH sparkling wine firm Hambledon Vineyard has marked its recent win at the Frontier Awards in Cannes, claiming the gong will help open doors in the retail market.
As part of the 40th annual Frontier Awards, Hambledon picked up the award for the Star Wines product category, in partnership with Virgin Atlantic Airways. The airline introduced the Hambledon Classic Cuvée to its Upper Class wine list, making it a permanent fixture this year due to popularity.
Now the brand has said it is looking for new opportunities to expand the business to build further on this success, with an ambition to grow in key markets including with retailers.
James Osborn, managing director at Hambledon Vineyard, said: “We’re super proud of the partnership wr have with Virgin Atlantic, for it to be recognised in the Oscars of Travel retail is very special and testament to the hard work of the team to bring it to life.
“We’re flying high and cannot wait to write the next chapter of our partnership.”
