Sweet delights ideal for any party this year
FINSBURY Food Group has geared up for any consumer celebration for the rest of the year with the launch of a new range of celebration cakes.
First up, Finsbury is set to make some waves with its new Disney Moana Celebration Cake. Set to launch this September, the new celebration cake comes ahead of the release of the sequel film Moana 2 – which will hit cinema screens across the UK from 29 November – to help make the most out of the highly anticipated sequel to the animated film.
Working with licence partner Disney, the cake features layers of white sponge with strawberry jam and topped with a sugar paste. The cake also features an edible sugar print of characters from the film including Moana, Maui as well as the title character’s pet Pua.
The cake will be available in Tesco, Asda and Morrisons stores with an RRP of £13.
While the Moana Celebration Cake will have the kids covered this year, the adults haven’t been forgetting by Finsbury either. To cater to a more mature audience, the firm has also rolled out its new Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon cake as well as a Mary Berry Toffee Coffee Sharing Cake.
Making use of the Gordon’s Gin branding, the new Sicilian Lemon Layer Cake features layers of yellow and white sponge cake with lemon curd, lemon gin-flavoured frostings and lemon sugar crystals. The new launch is available to Asda stores with an RRP of £14.
And the Mary Berry Toffee Coffee Sharing Cake marks a new addition to the Mary Berry range in Sainsbury’s stores and features a soft coffee sponge, filled and topped with coffee frosting, and decorated with toffee pieces with an RRP of £4.
Finally, the firm has shouted out its Thorntons Bites offer as an option for sharing occasions or as a more indulgent self-treat option. Available in two variants including Thorntons Chocolate Fudge Brownies and Caramel Shortcake Bites, the range is available in Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Co-op stores now with an RRP of £1.90.
Andrew Scott, character licence manager at Finsbury Food Group, said: “Following a successful Euros for the English team and our FA England Themed Shirt Cake, we are thrilled to be working with our partners at Disney to produce a Moana themed celebration cake.
“The cake precedes the highly anticipated release of the second Moana film, and we can’t wait to share the moment with fans for what is sure to be one of the biggest film events of the year.”
