Make sure your bread range meets demands, says Hovis

Pre-packed bread will top the shopping list for plenty of consumers this month.

OFTEN the starring show of the lunch box, plenty of Scottish consumers will be packing in their piece to help them through the day.

So providing a good range of pre-packaged bread options should be a no-brainer, and definitely something to consider as kids head back to the classroom this month.

Alistair Gaunt, commercial director at Hovis, reckons a varied range that offers consumers some added health benefits will be the way to go here.

He said: “Sandwiches remain a key part of kids’ lunch boxes and so it’s important for retailers to stock a varied range of pre-packaged bread to cater for this demand, particularly as children go back to school after the summer holidays.

“Providing a balanced diet and great taste are key considerations for parents when it comes to children’s lunches – alongside cost-of-living and affordable options.”

With this in mind, Hovis has pointed to its expansive range, including its Seed Sensations range.

The latest additions are Sunflower & Pumpkin Seeds and Malted Wholegrains, both of which help to provide some extra health benefits for the lunchtime sandwich.

Gaunt said: “Consumers have loved the great taste of Hovis Seed Sensations for many years and we know that choice is more important than ever within the seeds and grains sector.

“The new products offer a variation within this popular range for consumers who are looking for inspiration from a brand they know and trust.”
