Dolly Wines comes to the UK from a Tennessee Mountain Home
COUNTRY music superstar Dolly Parton is set to roll out her own-brand of Dolly Wines to the UK market with Accolade Wines.
Set to come exclusively to Asda stores on 12 September, the new range features a Rosé at an RRP of £9.50 as well as a Prosecco variant at £11 RRP.
The beloved entertainer is known for bringing people together, says Accolade Wines, with the new range inviting wine lovers and music fans alike into “Dolly’s World” and celebrate the new launch from Accolade Wines.
Dolly Prosecco aims to offer consumers a fresh and zingy sparkling wine with a flavour profile that includes stone-fruit aromas such as peach and apricot, says Accolade, with flavours of apples and pears.
Meanwhile, Dolly Rosé offers a more rounded palate says Accolade, with flavours of strawberry, citrus and a touch of dried sage.
The new launches come just in time for the final ‘Golden Quarter’ period of the year as well, making this a potential winner for Christmas sales this year offering an extra addition next to the stocking for avid Dolly fans in the UK.
Dolly Parton announced the new range of Dolly Wines in June of this year in collaboration with Parton Family Cellars and Accolade Wines with the full global collection including Dolly Wines Chardonnay – exclusive to the US market – and Dolly Parton Wines’ Sparkling – which is exclusive to the Australian market.
Tom Smith, marketing director for Europe at Accolade Wines, said: “We are beyond excited to bring Dolly Wines to the UK. We know UK consumers will love the range, especially given Dolly’s global popularity – with over 100million albums sold worldwide.
“Dolly herself was involved in creating this delicious and down to earth range of wines, and we think they capture her captivating sense of fun and sparkle perfectly.
“We’re confident the latest addition to the Accolade Wines portfolio will help drive category growth among two already popular categories – prosecco has the highest penetration in sparkling wine amongst wine shoppers, with the French Rosé category is growing at 8.4%.”
