Amathus secures distribution of new celeb gin
FAMILY-OWNED drinks importer Amathus Drinks has announced the exclusive UK distribution of The Gardener Gin, which comes from world-famous actor Brad Pitt.
The latest collaboration from the Fight Club actor and the Perrin Family, The Gardener Gin will be available from Amathus’ online store as well as its eleven stores around London for a price of £55 per bottle.
The French Riviera gin has been created in partnership with Pitt, the Perrin family and world-renowned master distiller Tom Nichol to produce a gin that has been described as having notes of juniper and citrus flavours.
Made from wheat in copper stills, the organic certified gin features ingredients including orange, pink grapefruit, juniper, liquorice, angelica and coriander in its production.
Brad Pitt first joined forces with the Perrin family, who are fifth-generation winemakers, in 2012 when the actor entered the category with a Rosé release. This now marks the first foray into the gin section from the team-up.
Greg Kimber, head of agency spirits at Amathus Drinks, said: “We’re delighted to have been trusted to be the exclusive UK suppliers of The Gardener Gin, and to expand our collection of drinks from the creative minds of Brad Pitt and the Perrin family.
“We’re admirers of Tom Nichol’s work, who is such an important and influential figure in the gin business, and with Pitt and famille Perrin he has helped create a lively and modern gin that captures the art-de-vivre of the French Riviera.
“Thanks to their considered mix of bitter orange, sweet orange and pink grapefruit, all grown locally in the heart of the French Riviera, the gin has a rich and balanced taste.”
Matthieu Perrin, co-founder of The Gardener, said: “We are extremely delighted to announce our distribution partnership with Amathus Drinks to bring The Gardener to the UK.
“Their commitment to excellence, diversity and progression in the dynamic drinks sector mirrors that of famille Perrin and we look forward to a successful and long-lasting collaboration.”
