Scottish confectioner Lees of Scotland has unveiled its new, nostalgic look across its Snowballs and Teacakes products, complete with new recipe changes.

LEADING Scottish confectioner Lees of Scotland has unveiled the new packaging for its Teacakes and Snowballs sweet treats.

Aiming to offer a more nostalgic look for the classic treats, Lees said the new design has been created to celebrate the brand’s rich heritage as well as to honour its loyal customers.

Donna O’Neill, senior brand manager at Finsbury Food Group – the firm Lees of Scotland became a part of in 2023, said: “The launch of our new packaging marks an exciting time for Lees of Scotland as we continue to develop our range of products.”

The new look provides a more vibrant take on the variants’ core colours, with red for Teacakes and blue for Snowballs, in an effort to enhance the appeal of both products. Further to this, Lees has incorporated inviting product photography, a new font and vintage graphics to emphasise the enjoyment these treats have brought customers for decades now.

Alongside the new packaging design as well, the brand has revamped its recipes across both products stating that customers can expect a jammier teacake with an improved biscuit recipe, as well as an increased coconut coverage across snowballs.

O’Neill said: “At Lees of Scotland, we’re constantly striving to exceed expectations and inspire customers with quality and creativity.

“We’re committed to offering our customers value, showcasing that affordable can also mean high quality.

“We believe our new packaging will excite our retail partners and will help build on and reinforce our market position.

“Our aim is to grow the brand and become nationally recognised. The new design delivers standout and visibility, which in turn will benefit the category by attracting more customers.”
