Scottish drinks firm announces supermarket listing
SCOTTISH drinks producer Hipflask Spirits has announced its new partnership with Morrisons supermarket stores.
The new deal will see the drinks brand available at six Morrisons stores including in Fort William, Auchinlea, Dundee, Perth, Gyle and Arbroath.
The range will include Hipflask’s best-sellers such as its Golden Spiced Rum, Rhubarb & Lime Liqueur, Cherry & Vanilla and Raspberry Infused Gins.
Based in Angus, Hipflask is the sister brand to Gin Bothy with both being created by Bothy Trading entrepreneur and founder Kim Cameron, who created both brands following an initial foray into retail with the Jam Bothy.
Unlike with the Gin Bothy brand which is made using traditional methods in batching, pouring and labelling every bottle by hand, Hipflask has the versatility to be produced to meet the demand of larger retail partners.
Cameron said: “This partnership with Morrisons marks an important milestone for Hipflask Spirits. We’re thrilled to make our products more accessible to customers across Scotland through this collaboration.
“As a brand rooted in adventure and authenticity, we’re excited to see our spirits journeying into new territories, inviting more people to join us on our next adventure.”
The deal marks the brand’s second move into supermarket stores after it was listed as part of Aldi’s ‘Next Top Product’ line in 2021 which saw it included in their Scottish stores for the discounter’s Scottish Spirits Festival the same year.
April Pollok, local sourcing specialist for Scotland at Morrisons, said: “At Morrisons, we are always keen to support Scottish suppliers and the launch of the Hipflask Spirits range from the Gin Bothy team across a selection of our stores has already brought great feedback from our customers and colleagues alike.
“We look forward to continuing to grow our relationship with the team at Gin Bothy and bring their exciting range to a wider audience.”
