Two new recipes come down to the Farms

The Compleat Food Group brand Pork Farms has expanded on its range with two new recipes in its portfolio in a bid to grow the chilled pastry market.

PORK pie brand Pork Farms has expanded on its range with the launch of two new recipe in a bid to generate growth in the chilled savoury pastry market.

Building on the success of the brand’s medium sized pork pies format, the brand has launched its new Pork Farms BBQ Pork Pie, introducing a sweet and smoky twist on the original pork pie variant.

Available now in Morrisons stores now with a rollout into Asda and convenience channels to come during May, the 295g pie has an RRP of £2.50 and should make a strong addition for the summer months, according to parent firm The Compleat Food Group.

Further to this, Pork Farms has expanded on its mini four pack pork pies range with its Plouhgman’s Mini Pork Pies with Cheese & Pickle. This marks the first time the brand has included cheese in a recipe as Compleat said it aimed to offer the full, traditional Ploughman’s lunch in a single pack.

The new four pack is available in Asda stores with plans to roll out to the wider convenience channel in May as well with an RRP of £2.50 per pack.

Nick Partridge, marketing manager at Pork Farms, said: “As the number one pork pie brand, we’re passionate about driving the category forward and adding real value.

“This is why we’re not only creating delicious and exciting new recipes, but also investing heavily in every aspect of our brand, including our marketing and packaging. This is helping us to fuel category growth and attract even more people, particularly younger audiences, to buy into Chilled Savoury Pastry. This successful approach means we’re outperforming the wider pork pie market significantly.

“We look forward to building on this even further with the launch of our incredible new recipes and encouraging people to see the pork pie as more than a monthly treat, but as a regular snack or part of a light meal they can enjoy.”
