Distribution partnership to drive international roll out
EDINBURGH-based cocktail brand Whitebox Cocktails has got its sights set on the international market with its new partnership with Artisan Spirits.
The deal with the global brand-building agency aims to branch out into new key markets for Whitebox including in Germany, Japan, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates.
The independent cocktail brand is set to kick this off on a strong footing as well with oversea listings already in the US, Denmark, France, Ireland and China.
Ben Iravani, co-founder of Whitebox Cocktails, said: “It’s an exciting time for Whitebox Cocktails as we accelerate international growth and capitalise on the growing consumer demand for high quality ready-to-drink cocktails.
“We’ve known Andy and the Artisan Spirits team for years and given how selective they are about the brands they work with, we feel incredibly lucky to be part of their portfolio.
“With their impressive track record, we’re confident that this new partnership will put us firmly on the path to achieving our international ambitions.”
No stranger to the global marketplace, Artisan operates in over 70 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East and already works with brands such as the House of Angostura and Portobello Road Gin.
And after successfully having raised more than £820,000 through its first crowdfunding campaign, Whitebox has increased production capabilities at its Edinburgh HQ with plans to double the number of cocktails in its range over the next 12 months.
Andy Holmes, founder and managing director at Artisan Spirits, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome our friends at Whitebox to the Artisan Spirits portfolio. Ben, Josh and all the team at Whitebox have created something unique, which we’re confident will work really well internationally.
“The leading industry figures behind Whitebox, together with the brand itself, really are a point of difference and we look forward to supporting the brand’s expansion in the global market, working closely with the team on the next stage of their journey.”
