Hovis is set to inject some festive cheer this year with the launch of its new limited edition seasonal packs, Ho Ho Hovis.

HOVIS aims to infuse some of the festive spirit into consumers this winter with the launch of its limited-edition seasonal packs.

The new Ho Ho Hovis range will be available on shelves for the duration of seven weeks, featuring across Hovis’ loaves range. This includes Hovis Soft White Medium, Soft White Thick, Soft White Extra Thick, Best of Both Medium and Best of Both Thick.

Packs depict a snowy scene across its text with the ‘Ho Ho Hovis’ tagline incorporated as part of the branding.

In addition to the light-hearted seasonal pack designs, the bakery brand has also developed some “bold and distinctive” Ho Ho Hovis Christmas jumpers and bobble hats which can be won as part of an online consumer competition, with a further limited number available for purchase.

And it wouldn’t be the Christmas season without the chance to give something back here and that’s just what Hovis will be doing with food surplus charity FareShare as the brand has pledged to donate more than 250,000 loaves to the charity firm by the end of 2023. This is the equivalent of 9million sandwiches or 18million slices of toast.

Claire Parlour, marketing director at Hovis, said: “Whilst we hope to bring a smile to people’s faces with some of our light hearted festive activities, we are also acutely aware that Christmas can be a difficult time for many families.

“This year Hovis will be continuing its long-standing relationship with FareShare to try and ensure that some of those most in need are supported.”

Polly Bianchi, director of fundraising at FareShare, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the support from Hovis, which will make a huge difference to getting more food to people who need it.

“Food insecurity fuels both hunger and loneliness, and without enough food, inviting friends and family over becomes a challenge. Support from our partners is so important at Christmas, so that good-to-eat surplus food can be shared with communities across the UK, instead of going to waste.”
