Lager maker urges retailers to think about PMPs
BEER and the summer sun really are the perfect match for Scottish consumers.
Given the recent good weather, retailers should ensure they are ready to meet those days of sunshine with a strong range of affordable beers.
To help bring that refreshing first sip of a beer on a warm afternoon, Tennent’s reckons that keeping in a strong selection of different formats that can meet the wide range of consumer needs will be key in this case.
Cameron Matthews, senior brand manager at Tennent’s, said: “Multiple pack formats accommodating for all consumer needs remains critical, as shoppers come to the channel with more occasions in mind during the summer.
“With the backdrop of the cost of living crisis, value is a key trend driving purchase with consumers looking for a good deal when they come into store.”
To help bring this added value, Matthews has shouted out about Tennent’s PMP four pack, to help provide a more permissible option for consumers who remain conscious about shopping on a tighter budget.
Matthews said: “With the focus on value, price-marked packs will perform well.
“Tennent’s PMP 4x500ml pack is a great option to offer consumers, while pint cans will be a key contributor to the convenience category this year.
“These pack formats that provide value for money are going to appeal to shoppers.”
