Sunny shores in c-stores: Bacardi brings Caribbean inspired flavours in new rum

GLOBAL rum firm Bacardí Rum has shaken up its portfolio with the addition of its first ever premium spiced aged product.

Bacardí Caribbean Spiced has been created using pineapple, coconut, vanilla and cinnamon, aiming to bring flavours from the Caribbean to the bottle, according to Bacardi.

The new expression from Bacardí is available to buy now in Tesco and Waitrose stores in a 700ml bottle, priced at £24.

The launch will also have a presence across OOH and digital channels, including PR  and influencer support.

Aiming to capture the growing desire for tropical flavours across drinks, Bacardí reckons its new launch will help to provide a distinctive taste of the Caribbean while delivering a twist on some classic cocktail options, too.

Dickie Cullimore, global brand ambassador for Bacardí Rum, said: “Category research showed us that flavour and spiced are the fastest growing segments in rum and specifically premium rum, and the Piña Colada has risen through the ranks as a top five cocktail.

Even more exciting was our discovery that people were looking specifically for unique flavours and aged rums.

“Understanding this desire was key in creating Bacardí Caribbean Spiced and ensuring the flavours and aged rum quality were intensified to deliver the best craftsmanship and taste.”
