A LEADING Scottish showcase for food, drink, hospitality, retail and tourism is set to return following a four-year break due to the Covid pandemic.

ScotHot23, billed as a must-attend event for all professionals involved in the sectors, will take place at the SEC in Glasgow on 8 and 9 March.

Now in its 50th year, organisers say the event offers an unmissable opportunity for guests to meet with suppliers, network with others to share ideas and inspiration, and learn about the latest trends from across the industry.

Supported by major partners including VisitScotland, Scotland Food & Drink, Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA), The Scottish Chefs, The Staff Canteen, The Caterer and Drink Think, the gathering is expected to welcome 7,000 visitors over the two days.

There will be more than 200 exhibitors from the food and drink, technology, catering equipment, tableware, design and other industries.

Among some of the biggest names already confirmed to attend are Alliance Scotland, Braehead Foods, Benholm, Brakes, Compass Scotland, InStock, Lynas Foodservice, WRS Systems, Nespresso, Panasonic, Elite Contract Furniture and Welbilt.

New for 2023, The Great Taste Market by the Guild of Fine Food will feature award-winning food and drink products from around the UK and Ireland.

And a Plant Based Foods section aims to inspire guests with tasters of new goods from a selection of producers who are leading the movement.

Other highlights include the Spotlight Stage run with the STA, Scottish Culinary Championships sponsored by Compass Scotland (incorporating the Scottish Chef of the Year competition), Liquid Academy Live, ScotHot’s Innovation Awards and The Staff Canteen Live.

Toby Wand, boss of 365 Events, the team behind ScotHot23, said: “We’re back, bigger and better than ever, and we can’t wait to welcome our partners, sponsors, exhibitors, and guests to ScotHot23.”
