DRINKING chocolate firm Cocoa Canopy has changed up its packs to include the renewable and compostable packaging NatureFlex.
Cocoa Canopy said the move to more sustainable bags across its range has prompted large supermarket chains such as Waitrose to show a greater interest in the brand, citing its exploratory approach to alternative plastic packaging as an encouraging sign for Cocoa Canopy.
The drinking chocolate firm creates crafted chocolates which are specifically designed to be melted into hot milk or water for an “in-home luxurious hot chocolate”.
Emma Wilson, business development manager at Cocoa Canopy, said: “Cocoa Canopy has always been about the provenance but, until we refreshed our brand, it wasn’t talked about and wasn’t mentioned on the packaging.
“Being kind to the planet is not just about business, I want to work for a pioneering company that my future grandchildren can be proud of.”
