CRISP, dark nights at this time of year give Scotland a special atmosphere and Edinburgh Gin has brought back a winter warmer to help the festivities along.
The liqueur inside the brand’s Mulled Gin Lantern is designed to add warmth and spice to home cocktail mixes.
Edinburgh Gin’s UK trade and consumer marketing director, Johna Penman, said: “It has great versatility and offers consumers a low-ABV G&T and the ability to turn their fizz into a seasonal cocktail.
“It can be served warm with red wine for an instant version of a Mulled Wine.”
Penman added that 4.1 million shoppers buy spirits as gifts every year.
“The lantern makes a perfect present,” she continued.
“The recipient can add a light within, and a festive scene appears and the windows glow against a snowy Edinburgh backdrop.”
Penman identified Christmas as a key sales period for gin sales, adding: “We see sales of super premium gin climb by 58% during the festive season, which is more than double of the overall gin category.”
