CHRISTMAS shopping can be the most hectic part of the season but retailers can help to keep it simple.
Sticking to brands that shoppers know they can rely on is the way to go for the festive season according to Chris Milton, off-trade sales director for Thatchers Cider, who reckons this will help to make the Christmas shop more simple.
Milton said that Thatchers will be just the cider consumers are looking for this feative season. With Kantar data for the 52 weeks to 7 August finding that the brand outperformed the total cider market, it’s clear that it remains a popular choice among shoppers.
Milton also pointed out that Thatchers was the only cider maker in growth by value in Scotland, as the brand’s value has grown by 35% over the last two years in the country.
Milton said: “Thatchers has two of the top five apple cider brands in the UK with Gold and Haze.
“Premium ciders retain their popularity with shoppers, with Thatchers outperforming the cider market, in fact being almost a third up on pre-Covid levels.
“Demonstrating that popularity – one in every eight ciders sold in the UK off-trade is from Thatchers.”
