SCOTTISH c-stores are helping to deliver important cost-of-living support through payment service provider PayPoint.
Customers are able to access key government benefits and make payments through PayPoint facilities.
Housing and council payments figures collected by PayPoint show £431 million has been processed in the past three years, across more than 3,000 stores.
And more than £23m has been distributed for the DWP Payment Exception Service since launch last August across over 2,200 stores.
Trends also show a huge number of the transactions take place before 9am and after 5pm, as well as at the weekend – reflecting long c-store opening hours.
