CONSUMERS across the globe are increasingly expressing their desire for products with less plastic packaging, according to data from Kantar.
The data specialist found 52.2% of consumers globally would like to see packaging that can be 100% recycled, with 40.5% desiring packaging made from materials other than plastic.
When it comes to who consumers think can make the biggest difference to limit environmental damage, just 4.2% of respondents in Kantar’s global survey pointed the finger at retailers. Manufacturers were viewed as those with most power (37.3) followed by governments (31.7%) and consumers (21.5%).
