INDUSTRY charity GroceryAid’s Barcode Festival event returned last month, raising more than £750,000 in the process.
Over 3,800 tickets were sold for the sell-out event, which was held in Magazine London.
Entertainment on offer on the day was spread across three stages. Acts making an appearance included Rudimental with Ella Eyre, Example, Becky Hill, Scot Mills and Levi Roots.
As well as raising funds, the Barcode Festival also offered smaller brands exposure to the wider industry through its ‘The Incubator’ event.
Steve Barnes, chief executive of GroceryAid, said: “Barcode Festival is something we are really proud to deliver for the industry. We anticipate it will sell out extremely quickly for 2022.
“Not surprisingly, the demand for GroceryAid’s services has increased threefold since the pandemic began, which indicates our support is needed more than ever. The money raised by Barcode will help more colleagues in need.”
