COSTCUTTER’s investment in social media training and guidance has become increasingly important over the past few months, according to the fascia.
Sean Russell, group marketing director at Costcutter Supermarkets Group (CSG), said the social media assets provided to store owners have helped to ensure they can provide the right guidance and support for customers.
CSG has also been providing retailers with materials to assist with social distancing in store, as Russell explained.
“We have provided our independent retailers with a wide range of support materials, as well as developing a comprehensive guide containing recommendations on hygiene, safety and social distancing measures that should be applied.
“The support package also provided independent retailers with a host of in-store POS materials, which have been designed to help them communicate social distancing to their shoppers.
Russell added that materials have been created to highlight the new services and community support that many Costcutter retailers have been offering during the pandemic, including home delivery and call and collect orders.
