Big grant for food charity

Asda Drivers Infront of Lorry
Asda will supply FareShare with ambient and frozen goods at cost price.

FOOD redistribution charity FareShare has joined forces with Asda to provide meals for thousands across Scotland.

The new partnership has been enabled thanks to a £1m funding package from the Scottish Government, which will allow FareShare to purchase ambient and frozen products from Asda at cost price.

Other FareShare projects expected to benefit from the cash injection include community cafes and food parcel providers.
