SCOTTISH suppliers are set to be celebrated at a special awards ceremony in September.
The Co-op and Scotmid will join forces to launch the first-ever Co-op Scottish Supplier Awards.
TV chef Nick Nairn will head up the judging, with categories including most sustainable supplier, and bakery of the year.
Scotmid local sourcing boss Stephen Brown said: “The advent of the awards provides us with a great opportunity to shine the spotlight and recognise excellent produce.”
Nairn said: “I’m thrilled that my fellow Scots are just as passionate about buying, cooking and eating Scottish food as I am.”
